According to a recent study conducted by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala, over 80 percent of students who participated in a survey wanted sex education. Most of them were of the opinion that it would help them to be comfortable while interacting with the opposite sex!

In Kerala, sex is a suppressed/underground activity. This makes sex education much more important for the future generations.

Another disturbing finding from the study was that many children were victims of sexual abuse. Nearly 30 percent of children reported atleast one form of sex abuse. Releasing the report, Mukunda das said that this figure indicates "critical social reality".

Chandni parekh found that her credit card number has been used by someone to buy 13 flight tickets totalling around Rs. 86,000!

Saddam hussein death probably affected Kerala most. All TV channels were trying their best to make it a big news. A 3 hour harthal (Kerala's first, I think) was also observed across the state.

There is even a bean called Saddam beach near Kozhikkode. There were black flags around these coastal areas.

Saddam would be wondering (from wherever his soul is now!) what he had done to get the affection of malayalees...

As the number of new vehicles on the road increase at a very high rate, Kerala towns are facing parking problem. This is more acute in Trivandrum and Ernakulam towns where finding a parking space is very tough.

This is complicated more by the fact that even new multi-story buildings are not providing enough parking space. So soon we might see parking rage incidents such as the one below!

It is learnt that Thiruvananthapuram Railway division has prepared a master plan to develop Kochuveli railway station (estimated to be over 80 crore rupees).

The highlights include 11 track platform and a nine storey station building! If implemented this will solve the congestion problems at the Thampanoor railway station.

It also needs to be seen how the travel problems from Kochu veli to city will be taken care. As of now there are not enough buses from Kochu veli to city.

Kerala government is thinking of making mundu(lungi) mandatory for male government employees. This is to promote the dying Khadi (kaithari) industry in the state.

Now we can pull down the mundu (mundu parikkal) when government employees ask for a bribe on a saturday! What is next? Government appeal to all empoyees to have sex only on sunday to improve workplace productivity? Ridiculous...
